About Hopepark Service Station

Financing your repair

Car repairs can sometimes be expensive but necessary to keep your vehicle on the road. At Hopepark, we understand that funding our repair costs may be a barrier to getting the job done urgently. For this reason, we have teamed up with Payment Assist to help spread the cost over 3 months.

Classic Car Restoration

Whether your car is only 3 years old and needs its first MOT or a 30 year old classic we treat your car with the same respect as you do. You do not need an MOT if the vehicle was built or first registered more than 40 years ago. For vintage car restoration, much of our work is performed in-house. Chromium, nickel plating and wood restoration is outsourced to specialists we have worked with for many years. Let us help you resotre your prized posession.

Minor Dents and Scratches

Minor scratches can, sometimes, be removed while-you-wait. Paintless dent removal is a highly skilled way of removing dents and dings from vehicles without the need for paintwork. If the paintwork is not broken our technicians can repair your vehicle using special rods to remove the dent. This results in an extremely cost and time effective repair compared to a traditional bodyshop "fill and paint" method. This is a busy service so we will need a month's notice and a couple of days with your car.

Electric Vehicles

Electric vehicles, like Teslas, are no different when it comes to basic maintenance and replacement of consumables for general wear and tear. We repair suspension and replace tyres and brakes just like on any other normal combustion engined vehicle. We also services hybrid and plugin hybrid vehicles. We aim to be one of the leaders in Electric car servicing in East Lothian. Just remember to come with it and don't send the car to us on its own! Unless, of course, it can pay for its own servicing. Perhaps one day!

Your brakes can help prevent aquaplaning and skidding in the winter. Some garages and tyre fitters carry out free brake tests where the technicians check your car’s brake pads, shoes, callipers, hoses, discs and handbrake linkages. We recommend testing your brakes at a professional garage. We are now doing brake tests on our new state of the art brake tester in tranent on all HGV and PSV vehicles as well as cars. Get your brakes tested whilst your vehicle is in for other repairs.
